An initiative for encouraging the competitiveness of Slovenian companies |
|
Slovenian companies cannot rely on the government to soon establish better business conditions. They can only try to be even more active in developing their own competitive advantage.
Slovenia has progressed on competitive scale of the IMD's World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) by one spot (51/59) compared to last year, but it has fallen behind by one spot on the scale of economic success (43/59).
Only Greece and Bulgaria have fared worse among the 24 EU members in the IMD report. We are the fourth worst in business efficiency.

the construction of a school in India, run by Slovenian
The organizer will contribute a part of the participation fee to the humanitarian society "Luč upanja", which supports the construction of The Piali Ashar Alo School for orphans and poor children in the suburbs of Kolkata. There are over 80 godfathers in Slovenia, covering the expenses for schooling and basic healthcare of “their” children in India who otherwise would not even attend primary school. The currently rented facility is unfit for a school and too small for new children, who already have new godfathers. Students of architecture have been helping design a new school which will be built on the schools own property, bought with the money from previous fund raisers.
